Anny Aurora
Anny Aurora is a German adult-film performer and model from Cologne. Her public career brings together international screen work, a Venus Award, online gaming videos and a personal interest in psychology.
Anny Aurora
The person behind the name
Anny Aurora began her professional screen career in 2015 after first finding an audience through webcam work. Within a few years, she was travelling between European productions and assignments in Los Angeles. Her 2017 Venus Award marked a significant early milestone, followed by a busy American visit in the spring of 2018.
Her interests extend beyond modelling and film. During that period, she took online psychology courses and made gaming videos for YouTube. A Cologne radio appearance brought those different activities into the same conversation. In interviews, she also spoke about travelling for pleasure, making simple meals and keeping space for everyday routines while working abroad.
Travel and everyday lifeCologne at the beginning
Cologne is the city Aurora called home when she began working internationally. In her 2018 interview, she spoke warmly about the Rhine, the city’s green spaces and Great St. Martin Church. Those were the landmarks she chose when asked to describe where she came from.
Her first encounter with online performance came through Facebook. At eighteen, she followed a creator’s profile link and became curious about webcam work. She remembered feeling nervous at first and responding to the people arriving in her chat room.
Building a career in Europe
Webcam work led into professional film production in 2015. By 2018, Aurora described a working life that included European studio assignments, her own website and independently made clips. She continued those different activities while adding regular travel to the United States.
An important early recognition came in October 2017. At the Venus Awards in Berlin, she received Best Female Performer. The ceremony took place at the Marshallhaus on the exhibition grounds, on the opening evening of the annual event.
A new American chapter
A bowling evening organised by performer Steve Holmes brought Aurora into contact with agent Mark Spiegler before the January 2018 AVN event. They met again during the event and agreed to work together. Her next American visit, in May and June, was her first with his representation.
That trip brought assignments with established performers and producers including Manuel Ferrara, Mick Blue and Keiran Lee. Spiegler subsequently described interest in her planned September return. For Aurora, joining the agency also meant meeting a wider circle of people working in American production.
Adjusting to different film sets
Working on both sides of the Atlantic gave Aurora a direct view of different production scales. She recalled German shoots with roughly five people present and American productions that could have as many as twenty. The number of people working around the camera was a striking change.
She also spoke about choosing work she enjoyed and valuing the individual bookings she received. In the same interview, she described keeping her independent online work alongside studio productions. Her schedule involved several kinds of work, rather than a single permanent production base.
Studying human behaviour
Psychology offered Aurora a subject she could study alongside a changing work schedule. In 2018, she was taking university courses online and working toward a degree. She explained that she wanted another option for her future while continuing the career she enjoyed.
Her reason for choosing the subject was curiosity about people: how they respond to situations, why they behave as they do and what those responses reveal about society. She described a gradual course of study that would take time, without presenting herself as a qualified psychologist.
Gaming on the air
Aurora also made Let’s Play videos for YouTube. Gaming was a personal enthusiasm and a separate part of her public presence. In April 2018, Cologne station Kölncampus invited her to Echo to discuss the connection between her screen career, her channel and her studies.
The programme, presented by Christopher Jung, included a conversation about her gaming videos as well as her route into professional performance. The station’s introduction placed those interests side by side, giving listeners a chance to hear about activities beyond her modelling and film assignments.
